Random Dragonica Thoughts

I feel bad because I haven't even played in Elga for a long time, so I'd be ranting now.

  1. Dragonica in the Philippines is, I guess, not too marketed. There are only a handful of people who know it, and only some shops which have Dragonica installed in their computers.
  2. I don't think E-games is responsible for Dragonica in the Philippines. Like Granado Espada before, it still being held by IAH Games, which is based in Singapore.
  3. Dragonica Cash in the Philippines is unheard off, especially by those 13-year-old kids who always tell me why I use iCash. If the only way they could buy iCash is through debit cards or credit cards, then how can Dragonica effectively market itself? Surely, parents won't allow their kids to use their cards for an online game.
  4. A week ago or so, Dragonica released free stuff (read here.) which, obviously, never got to reach me ^^v Sorry, I haven't played for a long time. Though I will still remain as a Dragonica fan deep inside me.
  5. I want pets. Already. If they'll release it, I'll play again - no matter how hectic my schedule is! :) I think they gave away free level 20 eggs, (read here) which were, again, unknown to me - until now. Oh Boże. I really am falling behind the game.
  6. I can't believe how young Dragonica Players are! Some are 12 to 15...and frankly speaking, the only ones whom I know are within my age range are the people I know in real-life. When I was 12, I was happy with the Playstation and the Sega Genesis...LOL. :D
  7. I don't know why I have to kill those cute little wooden trunks. They are sometimes to cute to shoot arrows at.
  8. My little dragon left me already T_T I miss seeing him tagging along behind me wherever I go. Oh well. A pet might give me that feeling - soon.
  9. I'm ranting. I am short of 140 cash to buy the Ultimate Leveling Package. *bangs head* Why the heck did I buy the other package a month ago, anyway? Pfffttttt.
  10. Finally, number 10. I want to play Dragonica, but I have so much work to do. Boże. Sigh. C'mon, c'mon, I need motivation!

So there. I've finished ranting. I'm going back to work. And hopefully, back to Elga.

Want some of my music?

For those who are asking me how they can download my songs, here is a link:

Although you can download only 6 songs(because they're the only ones which I've written myself) it's still something. I mean, if you really like to listen to them.

My music is licensed under Creative Commons, so they are free to distribute - just as long as you keep it under my name :)

Thanks! :)

Mystery Guy

Finally had some time to play around today.

I was walking around today and shooting some raccoons...and decided to stand up on a box.

Then one guy stood beside me.

Oohh boy, it was awkward.

Level 17 now! :D

For those who listen to my music...

..I want to give my thanks.

I know there are some of you who visit my blog, so you can listen to my music. And I am very grateful for that, really. There are also a lot of people sending me messages regarding those music, so I'm now writing a FAQ about my music as a response to the people who have been asking.

1. Where do you get your music?
Err, I record my music. The one that you are hearing now is me. I play the guitar, the piano (well except for my version of Way Back Into Love; somebody else played the piano there.)

2. OMG. Is that your voice?
Yes, it is.

3. Are you a professional singer?
In as much as I want to say yes, it's really NO.

4. Have you been to any talent shows?
No, and I don't have any intentions thereof for the meantime.

5. Can I request a song?
Sure. One Love was a request, too, and when I get the time, I usually unwind and record.

6. How do you record your songs?
I usually record only at home, with my trusted microphone and guitar.

7. Do you have some songs written by you?
Of course! I've written Panaginip (Dreams) in 2007, Under in early 2007 and Smile in 2008.

8. I cannot find your songs in iTunes! Is there any way I could download it?
Use the Yahoo Messenger box on the right side, and ask me to email it to you.

9. Is it for free?
By all means! :) However, I just have one request. If you could only just click on some things which you like...and I would be really grateful. :)

10. Can I give it away to my friends?
Yes! But please remember to credit me, and ask them to come visit my website if they like the music. I would be really thankful if you can do that! :)

Thanks so much from Krysia :)

So I guess that's it. I wish I can write more, but then I don't know any other questions you might have. Please feel free to drop me a message, or leave a message on the message board on the right.

Thanks so much and have a nice day ahead ;)

Dragonica Babes

Woot. So sorry for not being able to post anything. I've been quite busy with work so I couldn't really level up Krysia in Elga.

Anyway.

The past few days, I've been lurking around Dragonica's website and I was surprised to see something that I remember GE once had.

Yesiree, Dragonica has officially launched D-BABE HUNT, an official contest wherein they'd fine REAL girl gamers to be an ambassador for the game.

I was kind of excited because I remember when I was interviewed in Granado Espada (I guess I won about 2 contests, and was featured for as the 10th GE girl gamer.)

Here's the official announcement in Dragonica's mainpage:

October is all about girls, girls, GURLZ! From GCA babes to our own gamers, we're taking the time to showcase as many of them as we can. If you have a Guildee or girlfriend who plays Dragonica and can give Cyndi or Paris a run for their money in real life, submit her picture here, and let everyone take a look! (Self-nominations are welcome.)

The only thing that ultimately disappointed me was the rules. Hey, I mean, I am always up for REAL BEAUTY. But this contest? It's based purely on looks. I mean, really. What can looks do if you're an airhead? Not that I'm saying that these pretty nominees do not know anything, but I hope that Dragonica made the criteria for judging a bit not too subjective.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

But I guess everybody is entitled to his or her own opinion.

I'm sure that all girls nominated truly deserve it. I just wish that Dragonica didn't have to rub it in that they only want those kawaii-looking girls to win.

Just my two cents.

+++++++++++

IAHGames iCash

Mom did it! HAHAHAH!

She bought me some Dragonica Cash! :p

While my GE sisters and brothers eyed me curiously, (sorry guys; you had your time when Mom was spending G-Points on you ;p) I happily flipped through the Dragonica Cash Items to find something. But I guess Mom was eyeing me too, so as not to spend it all.... *gulps*

OK, so how did Mom buy?

She bought the SGD10 iCash over at www.gameshop.com.sg! :)

We waited for the e-mail to let us send funds via PayPal, but I guess it was too late so we received the message the next morning.

Sent the funds via PayPal, a total of around 7 USD for 10SGD...then waited.

We got a confirmation a few minutes after, and then after some hours, we got the email with the top up code and serial number! :)

Woooohoooo! :)

I even got some grapes and other stuff over ;p

More stuff to enjoy in Dragonica with IAHGames' iCash! :)

Dragonica Cash in the PH

OK, so I let Krysia off for now with this blog. (She's playing with our new kitten, Bunia, and her brothers and sisters from GE.)

Yeah, it's Kristine typing now. Moving on...

As we started off with the world of Dragonica last night, I have been already researching ahead to find out about the currency in the game.

Like many online MMORPGs nowadays, Dragonica Southeast Asia is a free-to-play online game with a cash shop. Simply speaking, you can play it for free but you can also buy cash items optionally. Yesiree, it all depends if you want to spend or not.

Of course, cash items are really neat. I like the cool costumes and the EXP boost, mostly. Although I am a bit disappointed that the EXP potions are only good for 1 hour...and the costumes are only available either in 7 days, or 30 days.

It would be cool to have permanent, non-tradeable costumes. Oh, and EXP potions for 4 or 6 hours, instead of the hourly ones. I understand that Dragonica cannot be played by AFK (unlike GE; you just need to press spacebar.) but it would really be good to have such EXP potions, especially for those who play for hours and hours.

Moving on again.

As a Philippine resident, I quickly did a search as to how and where we could buy Dragonica Cash. Here's a list of how and where you can find Dragonica Cash in the Philippines. (Don't keep your hopes too high - they aren't very good.)

  1. IAHGames iCash - This iCash cards can be bought in 7-11 stores and Shell gas stations...but not in the Philippines. Yes, fellow gamers. This is only available in Singapore (or Malaysia?) but do not fret. You can also buy IAHGames iCash online... which brings me to my next item...
  2. Online Game Shops - Remember when the GE credit card system didn't work? They all linked us to an online game shop - www.gameshop.com.sg - which offers electronic pins. They also offer electronic iCash pins for use in Dragonica and other IAH games. www.offgamers.com also offers iCash electronic pins. They accept credit cards, debit cards, Paypal, even Western Union money transfer, so it might be a good alternative if you don't have a credit/debit card. Oh, and they also offer Dragonica 8Cash pins.
  3. IAHGames Passport - when you top-up your Dragonica account, you'd be asked how you want to top-up; via Visa credit/debit card, bank transfer, Paypal, iCash, 8Cash, GXCredits...so you can go straight here if you have a credit/debit card. Of course, prices are different, and you might want to compare. We'll explain it later as we move on...
OK, so here are three options on how you can get Dragonica cash in the Philippines. I told you not to expect too much, because it centers mostly on online shopping and not physical cards. I don't know if E-Games (IAHgames' partner [or at least GE's partner] in the Philippines) will be offering physical iCash or 8Cash cards for Dragonica, but for now, here are our only options.

For those who want to compare prices, here's a simple comparison for the three sources of Dragonica cash in the Philippines. Trust me, I typed it as how I understood it because since last night I was comparing the best package...and contemplating if I should buy or not. :-S

Estimated rates of 1 USD = 49 PHP | 1 SGD - 34 PHP | 1 RM to 14 PHP

IAHGames iCash (can be bought through www.gameshop.com.sg)
SGD 5 - 170 PHP = 5,000 Dragonica Cash
SGD 10 - 340 PHP = 10,000 Dragonica Cash
SGD 60 - 2040 PHP = 60,000 Dragonica Cash

BTW, Gameshop.com.sg has a promotion @ SGD 60 for iCash Dragonica Enhanced with 3 x Insurance Scrolls, 5 x Lucky Stone , 25 x Icecream Cake (1040 HP+MP dual-heal, no cool down) and 3 x Fine Gold Chest.

8Interactive Cash (8Cash) (available at www.offgamers.com)
RM10 - 140PHP = 4,000 Dragonica Cash
RM30 - 420PHP = 12,500 Dragonica Cash
RM60 - 840PHP = 25,000 Dragonica Cash
RM100 - 1400PHP = 42,000 Dragonica Cash

IAHGames Passport via Paypal or Visa Transaction
USD 19 - 931 PHP = 25,000 Dragonica Cash
USD 30 - 1470 PHP = 40,000 Dragonica Cash
USD 45 - 2205 PHP = 60,000 Dragonica Cash

It's clear to see that iCash is cheaper than the Paypal or Visa Transaction of IAHGames Passport. Obviously, you can also use Paypal or Visa in those online game shops.

Boohoo to Singapore players :( they can even pay via bank transfer and through their mobile phones... :( But then, IAH is based in SG. So I guess they can be a bit unfair.... (it's already been an issue with GPoints in Granado Espada, anyway...)

I've laid it all for you to decide. The rest is now up to you if you want to spend or not and if yes, how are you going to do it...etc.

The same goes for me...should I buy or not?? *confused*

But remember: Never ever buy pins for in-game money. You are more susceptible to scammers and everybody else. Please. It's better to buy electronic pins for real money instead of buying with in-game currencies. We still strongly discourage real-money trading.

If you want to buy some iCash online but you don't have a credit or a debit card, you can always get a debit card (it costs 350 pesos for a new Visa debit via Unionbank) or you can ask your mom's or friend's visa debit/credit card and then just pay her.

Leave comments if you want to know more about Dragonica Cash online through iCash or 8Cash or Paypal..or whatever :D

So
till next time we meet! I guess I'll go back to Krysia now...the kitten's already asleep, after all.

Dragonica is Love!

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since my brothers and sisters from the Futel family retired in the world of Granado Espada... (I guess my sister Raven is getting too old, lol. But don't tell here I told you...)

Anyway, our Mommy Krz decided to give Dragonica a try...and I was born. :)

My name is Krysiunia, but you can call me Krysia for short. I am in Elga, in Dragonica SEA. As I write this blog, I am only level 12. Mom just helped me level up last night. The rest of my family is in Granado Espada, but since I'm now the baby of the family, Mom's attention is with me.

Unlike my brothers and sisters in GE, I am the only archer. I've got blue hair and..oh. Here's my picture from last night. I was only level 6, I guess, so sorry if I look so nood...*sniff*

C'mon, join me in Dragonica! :)

My new home in the web is still under construction, so please check back soon. Hopefully we'll finish it before the end of the month...(I'll ask my brothers' and sisters' help.)

In the meantime, you can join me in Dragonica SEA or you can check my family's blog in Granado Espada SEA.

See you in Dragonica!! :)

Don't worry...it's free to play!
